'Subtextos de un patrón de mantenimiento', nueva intervención en las Hejduk

Subtextos de un patrón de mantenimiento de Félix Fernández será la nueva intervención artística que acogerá las Torres Hejduk entre noviembre y febrero. Así lo decidió el jurado de la II Convocatoria de intervención artística para las Hejduk realizada entre los participantes en el IV Encontro de Artistas Novos da Cidade da Cultura al que se presentaron un total de 22 creadores emergentes.

El jurado eligió el proyecto de este artista multidisciplinar, licenciado en Bellas Artes y formado paralelamente en danza contemporánea y teatro-performance, para “ocupar artistícamente” las Torres Hejduk desde el mes de noviembre hasta febrero de 2015. Félix seguirá así la senda de artistas como Pamen Pereira, Ramón Conde, Alejandra Sampedro o Ana Soler, que ya  ha intervenido en este espacio del Gaiás dedicado al arte y a la creatividad.

Tres intervenciones y una perfomance

La propuesta ganadora, con el título de Subtextos de un patrón de mantenimiento explora el concepto de lo “indeseado”, de la necesidad de generar conciencia sobre puntos oscuros de la sociedad, como paso previo para la búsqueda de soluciones.

El proyecto consta de tres intervenciones y una acción performántica que tendrá lugar una vez al mes. La torre de cristal envuelta en humo se convertirá en una tormenta interior que contrastará con la torres opacas ocupada por monitores de seguridad –en los que se combinarán imágenes en tiempo real con otras en diferido- como alegoría del poder. Como complemento la esta dualidad, la figura de un hombre suspendido en el exterior llamará la atención sobre la inactividad ante la realidad que se nos ofrece.

Las intervenciones se complementarán con una actuación performántica en directo, en la que el propio Félix Fernández interactuará con las Torres Hejduk presentadas como un lugar para la inactividad y la acción suspendida, con breves y puntuales momentos coreográficos.

Talento emergente de la creación contemporánea
Licenciado en Bellas Artes por la Universidad de Vigo, el gallego Félix Fernández se presenta como uno de los nombres emergentes de la creación contemporánea en España, artista multidisciplinar que emplea la videocreación y la performance para presentar su discurso artístico. La creatividad lo tiene hecho merecedor de numerosos galardones, como el Premio ‘Nuevos Medios' del Festival Internacional de Cine de Ourense, el premio a la mejor videocreación internacional del Festival Canarias Mediafest, el Premio ‘Estampa' de creación artística de la Casa de Vélazquez (Madrid), así como galardones en el Festival Lesgaicinemad 15, en el certamen de artes plásticas de la Diputación de Ourense, en el Visualsound Barcelona el *concertame para artistas nuevos del Auditorio de Galicia en Santiago.


El trabajo de Félix Fernández será la segunda intervención que se lleve a cabo en las torres procedente del Encuentro de Artistas Nuevos. El año pasado acogieron el proyecto colectivo En ningún lugar, obra de Juan Cañamero, Iago Eiroes, Miguel Ángel Moreno Carretero, Ana Estreve Reig, Alejandro Ramírez y Pablo Martínez Muñiz, comisariados por Carlos Delgado Mayordomo. Además, las torres han acogido exposiciones de artistas como Pamen Pereira, Ramón Conde, Alejandra Sampedro o Ana Soler.
