On Thursday 24th July the Gaiás Centre Museum hosts the award ceremony of the Medallas de Galicia 2025 (Medals of Galicia). The Medal of Galicia is the highest distinction of honour awarded by the Xunta to people or institutions that for their merits in the service of Galicia in any aspect of its social, cultural or economic reality, are worthy of obtaining the recognition of the Galician people.

In this edition, the Medal are awarded to Her Royal Highness the Princess of Asturias, Leonor de Borbón y Ortizao, as to the mayors of the Portuguese cities of Porto, Rui Moreira, and Braga, Ricardo Rio.
