Guided tours | The Seasons in 20th and 21st Century Galician Art

Led by the specialized staff of the Museo Centro Gaiás, you will be able to complete the artistic experience of The Seasons in 20th and 21st Century Galician Art exhibiton through a guided tour that delves into more than 125 years of Galician art history. We will explore landscapes, still lifes, sculptures, and undeniably evocative images of the individual and collective memory of each season in Galicia, spanning from the Regionalist Movement of the early 20th century to the present day.

The curator, artist and researcher Mónica Alonso, has carefully selected each painting, sculpture, photograph, installation, and video, designing a route that focuses on the emotional, sensory, and symbolic value of the artistic experience. More than 80 works by 63 artists come together in a unique exhibition that invites visitors to open their senses, walk slowly, and immerse themselves in each piece. Based on a concept of spatial immersion, the Museo Centro Gaiás becomes a place where art is felt through sound, temperature, color, and texture, with spring, summer, autumn, and winter in Galicia as the great stages of our lives.
