Guided tours | Other Possible Stories

Book one of the free guided tours of the exhibition Other Possible Stories to delve deeper, with the guidance of the specialized staff of the Museo Centro Gaiás, into the personal and professional journeys of six contemporary artists linked to Galicia who stood out particularly in the 1980s. Ana García Pan, Emilia Guimeráns, Anne Heyvaert, Tusi Sandoval, Blanca Silva, and Laura Terré are the protagonists of an exhibition that celebrates the diversity of talent.

In this guided tour, you will discover realities that remained hidden and influenced the creative paths of these real and extraordinary women. This perspective encompasses aspects of the everyday and the private, as well as a new contextualization of their work within the history of contemporary Galician and international art. The aim is to contribute new, diverse, and enriching perspectives to the dominant (and predominantly male) narrative.

The exhibition is curated by Susana Cendán, a professor and researcher at the University of Vigo, and features a selection of paintings, sculptures, woodcuts, catalogs, and magazines from different periods that together form a broad and representative overview of the artistic careers of these six creators.
