What is our purpose for processing your data?

Your data will be processed for the following purposes:

  • Provide you with information on the management of the service(s) from Ciudad de la Cultura that you have requested.
  • Provide you with information on the activities organised by Ciudad de la Cultura that may be of interest to you, inform members about activities, services and campaigns at Ciudad de la Cultura, invitations to events and on the impact of our work.
  • Statistical handling of your data to develop profiles with the purpose of improving the Museum's services.

Your personal data will be used exclusively for the abovementioned purposes and will be kept until the interested party requests their erasure; subsequently, under no circumstances will it be treated in any way that is incompatible with those purposes.
We will also process your data in order to send you customized commercial communications resulting from your status as the holder of the Club Gaiás card, or as the purchaser of tickets for our cultural activities.
The purposes of collecting your personal data are those that are specifically indicated in each of the pages where the electronic registration form appears. In general, the personal data provided by you will be used to respond to your requests and consultations, as well as to inform you about new activities, events and services organized or managed by Fundación Cidade da Cultura de Galicia. In the event that through the aforementioned forms, you provide personal data of third parties, prior to its inclusion you must inform them of the situations established in the above paragraphs, and you will refrain from including it if you do not receive their consent.
In addition, the information obtained is completely anonymous, and will in no case be associated with specific users or to identify them.
 
Legalisation

Fundación Cidade da Cultura de Galicia is a non-profit organization with a foundational nature, of Galician interest, with assets that are meant to fulfil the general interest purposes of the Institution in a lasting way.
The purpose of Fundación Cidade da Cultura de Galicia is the creation, use and promotion of areas or centres for the preservation, production, exhibition and cultural, communicative and technological consumption that constitutes a multifunctional, multidisciplinary and unifying space that fosters cultural interaction.
By Order of the Ministry of the Presidency, Institutional Relations and Public Administration of 11 January 2000 (DOG No. 11, of 18 January), Fundación Cidade da Cultura de Galicia is classified as a cultural institution and is assigned to the Department of Culture. By Order of the Ministry of Culture of 19 January 2000 (DOG No. 26 of 8 February) it was declared of Galician interest and was entered into the Register of Foundations under number 73.
To achieve the purposes for which it was created, Fundación Cidade da Cultura de Galicia may carry out the following activities:


a)     Those activities necessary to become a key player in cultural dissemination, acting as a meeting point between citizens and culture.

b)     Those activities that contribute to playing a leading role in the process of cultural enrichment/learning for citizens, with special emphasis on the adoption and use of new technologies.

c)     Those initiatives to promote the physical rapprochement of citizens to Fundación Cidade da Cultura de Galicia, serving as a space for the development of not strictly cultural activities, with special emphasis on leisure, contact with nature and sport.

d)     Activities that boost the Galician cultural system by promoting the dissemination and preservation of our culture, and creating a vibrant artistic community, taking into account both A-list authors as well as new talents or the base culture.

e)     Those activities that promote interrelations and joint projects between actors from different areas of cultural and creative industries, with special emphasis on interregional cooperation and public and private collaboration.

f)     Those activities that are ideal for turning the Gaiás into an international reference for reflection, debate and education in the field of innovation in cultural management, so that it contributes towards the professionalization of the different agents and their initiatives.

g)     Those that promote entrepreneurship in the field of cultural and creative industries, with special emphasis on projects that encourage innovation, both technological and non-technological, and its transfer to the more mature sectors of the industrial fabric, serving as a platform for the development and promotion of the brand Galicia.

h)     Those activities and actions that contribute to making Cidade da Cultura de Galicia an economically sustainable and socially profitable project, incorporating new strategic shareholders, both public and private, and diversifying the sources of funding to achieve the sustainability of the project regardless of the economic cycle.

We collect the personal data that you provide us with through our website by filling in forms or fields, by signing up for our newsletter, or via email.

Information we collect from your visits to our website

How long will we keep your personal data?

Right to withdraw your consent: interested parties have the right to withdraw their given consent at any time the, without this affecting the lawfulness of the processing based on the consent given at the time of registration or when the data was provided.

Exercise of rights

Who should you address to exercise your rights?

To exercise their rights, interested parties write a letter with all their data, including a photocopy of their national identity card or passport and specifying the right they are exercising, to FUNDACION CIDADE DA CULTURA DE GALICIA, address: Cidade da Cultura de Galicia, Edificio CINC 3.º andar, Monte Gaiás, s/n (CP 15707) de Santiago de Compostela (A Coruña), or to cidade.cultura@xunta.gal.

We will respond to your requests as soon as possible and, in any event, within one month of receipt of your request. This period could be extended for a further two months if necessary, taking into account the complexity and the number of applications. The person in charge shall inform the interested party of the extension during the first month as of the request.

If users are not satisfied with the exercise of their rights, they entitled to file a complaint at the Spanish Data Protection Agency.

Changes to our Privacy Policy:

We may need to update our Privacy Policy. The latest version of the Privacy Policy is always available on our web site.
